New York Giants head coach John Harbaugh dismissed social media comparisons likening his speaking voice to that of former U.S. President Joe Biden during an appearance on Barstool Sports' "Pardon My Take" podcast.

The comparison surfaced after clips from Harbaugh's introductory press conference with the Giants circulated widely online in January. The 63-year-old coach, who was announced as the Giants' new head coach on January 20 at the team's Quest Diagnostics Training Center in East Rutherford, New Jersey, rejected the notion.

"I'm not happy with that at all," Harbaugh said on the podcast, attributing any similarity to a sore throat. Hosts pressed the point, with one asking Harbaugh to discuss ice cream in reference to Biden's known preference for the dessert. Harbaugh responded in jest before firmly disputing the comparison.

"I’m going to have to dispute that. I’m putting that in dispute right now. I’m not accepting that. I will not accept that comparison," Harbaugh said.

The Giants last reached the playoffs in the 2022 season and have recorded losing campaigns in recent years.[1][2] Fans hope Harbaugh can reverse the team's fortunes.

Harbaugh spoke at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis on February 24.
