Rory McIlroy of Northern Ireland has won four major championships -- the 2011 U.S. Open, 2012 PGA Championship, 2014 Open Championship and 2014 PGA Championship -- but lacks a Masters title to complete the career Grand Slam, a feat achieved by five players.[1][2]

The Masters winner earns the right to curate the Champions Dinner menu for the following year. The event takes place on the Tuesday evening before the tournament at Augusta National Golf Club in Augusta, Georgia, and is attended only by past champions.[3]

McIlroy's strongest showing at the Masters was a tie for second in 2022, where he lost in a sudden-death playoff to Scottie Scheffler on the 18th hole.[4]

Scheffler, the 2024 Masters champion, announced his menu for the 2025 Champions Dinner on August 13, 2024. The Texas barbecue selection includes beef ribs, brisket, sausage, coleslaw, chili, baked beans, pecan pie and banana pudding.[5]

The 2025 Champions Dinner is scheduled for Tuesday, April 8, ahead of the first round on Thursday, April 10. The tournament runs through Sunday, April 13.[6]

McIlroy enters 2025 having closed out 2024 with victory at the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai, earning a record-extending sixth Race to Dubai title.[7]
